SineWaves - Advanced Power Generation Technologies

SineWaves Inc. has been formed by a group of like minded friends to cultivate an idea inventor Matthew W. Wright had for a new concept regarding micro-power generation, the Co-Axial Turbo Rotary Engine or CATRE.  With a Patent Pending and a working proof of concept currently undergoing development on our in-house dynamo meter, SineWaves is now looking to develop one its more advanced CATRE Configurations, the CATRE-I.

Mechanical Power, created by burning fuel & air in the 3 x rotary combustion chambers, and enhanced by the additional air provided by the turbocharger, rotates the main eccentric shaft and delivers power to the power transmission housing

The image above illustrates that the engines eccentric shaft is in fact decoupled from the clutch assembly, thus the engine is not spinning, engine braking is not occurring, and more mechanical energy is therefor available for recuperation.  (also reducing wear on engines rotating components)

Regenerative breaking mode – In an application such as a wheeled vehicle, it is also a function of this device to create electrical energy by converting mechanical energy input via the PTO sprocket , to electrical energy  by using the electric machine to resist the input rotation (thus slowing the car & generating electrical energy for later use).
